Essential Job Functions

This position will be responsible for full cycle procurement of parts for the GOWell group of companies and  affiliates.  The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the development and implementation of processes to guide strategic planning/sourcing, vendor certifications/supplier contracts, purchase orders, quality control and trade compliance.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and document Procurement processes and procedures

  • Ensure the utilization of aggressive supply management concepts and best practices to develop and implement a strategic plan to guide the sourcing and acquisition of parts and materials

  • Identify and develop reliable, global sources of supply with strong, ethical supplier relations

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate all phases of the procurement cycle including but not limited to purchase order administration, price comparison/negotiation, supplier contracts, order receipt/verification, invoice verification, supply/inventory level maintenance, and quality control

  • Identify, document (via NCR process), and discuss all defective or unacceptable parts/materials with users and vendors to determine source of issue and corrective action

  • Establish and maintain a database and manual of all components and other purchased materials according to supply types, supply areas, price/delivery with focus to provide real time purchase suggestions/delivery updates for subsidiaries in order to minimize overall costs and delays

  • Maintain detailed procurement/inventory records for all purchase transactions including items purchased, cost, delivery, quality, vendor performance, etc.

  • Provide global purchasing reports and delivery status as requested by internal stakeholders

  • Able to travel domestic and/or international as required.

  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.

  • Work with Quality Compliance department regarding compliance issues.

  • Continuously fully comply with all regulatory related requirements.

  • Committed to a high standard of safety and willing to comply with all safety laws and all of the company’s safety policies and rules. Must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Prefer Bachelor degree or above with focus on Electronics or related study

  • At least three (3) years experience in Component Level Purchasing and Inventory or related field preferred

  • Proficient in classification, parameters, brands, and applications of various electronic components

  • Fluent in English

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • General computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.  ERP experience preferred.

  • Could involve some lifting, up to 20 lbs.
