There is a saying that traveling keeps your spirit young, curious and dynamic. But what the pandemic taught me these 2 last years is that to keep the above, no need to travel much…the most important is to have the will to adapt to changing situations that life throws at you. When there’s a will, there’s a way!

I’m Jean-Paul AMIEL, French citizen / US resident, and my position in GOWell is Business Development Manager for Europe/Sub Sahara Africa. Since graduating in France in 1985, I always worked overseas with major Wireline Services Companies in various positions at various levels, in many countries and on all continents. With English/French/Spanish as based languages, it helps traveling most of the world. At GOWell, I am currently based in Europe, for the first time ever, back to my roots, I enjoy it, but it is very different than when I left 30+ years ago! My wife and daughter (18 years old) are from South Chile and I go there regularly. At work, my competitive nature makes me love business development, and also technology.

Outside work, I like general culture subjects, like music (quite eclectic tastes, from opera/ballet to heavy metal…), theatre, cinema, reading, sciences, and some sports, whether practicing them (running – but now -thank you for my knees- trekking/hiking and climbing-, cycling, tennis, ski, soccer, kiteboarding) of watching on TV ( F1, moto racing).  I can discuss endlessly on cars, horses, consumer technology, business, finance, cryptos… wine, beers, whiskies…
