Essential Job Functions
The Operations Manager – Manufacturing will be a leader in spearheading the greenfield initiatives to expand the GOWell organization’s engineering and manufacturing capacity into Singapore.
Role and Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations/ Plant Management
Provides executive leadership to manufacturing / supply chain function.
Lead functional operations at multiple manufacturing sites.
Establishes and monitors production using metrics/budgets through systems, and initiates appropriate corrective action as needed and based on results.
Establishes and controls project schedules and timelines.
Supply Chain Management:
Develops and implements efficient supply chain strategies for the logistics and distribution of products globally, specifically China, Singapore, Middle East and USA.
Oversees supply chain operations to ensure effective inventory management, timely delivery of materials to regional distributors.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and optimize supply chain efficiency globally.
Leads production planning activities, ensuring alignment with market demands, inventory targets, and quality standards.
Develops robust scheduling processes to optimize manufacturing capacity while meeting regulatory compliance and quality requirements.
Sourcing and Vendor Management:
Identifies, evaluates, and manages vendors, fostering strategic partnerships to secure reliable sources for services.
Negotiates and manages vendor contracts and documentation, monitors vendor performance and makes improvements where necessary.
Develops contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies, particularly for critical manufacturing operations.
Scaling Operations:
Strategically plans for scalability, anticipating and mitigating challenges associated with growth and complexity.
Drives process improvements and implements scalable systems to plan for the evolving needs of the organization.
Explore opportunities for capacity expansion and potential manufacturing process automation.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Proven experience (10 to 15 years) in manufacturing operations management focusing on low volume, high value electronic based instrumentation, ideally in a similar industrial background.
Proven experience in plant management, operations, logistics, and supply chain management
Sound leadership skills, showcasing your ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
Self-starter, ready and motivated to build an operations structure and optimize it.
Physical Demands
Could involve some lifting, up to 20 lbs.
Will require travel.
