Essential Job Functions
As a Manufacturing Engineer, this role is mainly focused on Manufacturing Quality and Controls, Manufacturing Processes, and Product Qualification Processes.
Role and Responsibilities
Work with Project Leader to design and construct the manufacturing facilities.
Assist with creation and documentation of manufacturing processes and procedures.
Design and implement test systems and fixtures for testing manufacturing output.
Managing ERP system BOMs, Routers and Material Specifications
Document and implement Quality Inspection Controls for manufacturing output.
Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 standards and internal requirements.
Learn and understand new technologies and tools for downhole instrument manufacturing.
Suggest improvements or provide recommendations during the manufacturing process.
Control Manufacturing Documentation updates.
Assist with Manufacturing Inventory Management and Obsolete Part controls.
Participate in Manufacturing Review Meetings and make suggestions concerning quality assurance and manufacturability improvements.
Collaborate with R&D, technology, and operation on projects to optimize the manufacturing processes.
Work with multiple projects simultaneously based on the assignments.
Provide support to internal and external stakeholders.
Comply with all regulatory related requirements.
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
Committed to a high standard of safety and willing to comply with all safety laws and all the company’s safety policies and rules. Must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.
Act as HSE lead for manufacturing team.
Assist in staff training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experiences
Prefer 3-5 years of downhole tool manufacturing experience in engineering.
Experience implementing or managing ISO 9001 QMS
Demonstrated experience managing ERP BOMs, Routers and Material Specifications.
Knowledge and ability to use various software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Outlook, at proficient levels.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
Knowledge of Sharepoint 365 and manufacturing ERP systems preferred
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Degree in Engineering or related field of study
Physical Demands
Could involve some lifting, up to 50 lbs.
